Skin Tips
Exfoliate! Exfoliate! Exfoliate!
Get the most out of your skincare. Make sure you exfoliate regularly to get the best levels of absorption from your skin oils and moisturisers - if it has to fight through layers of dull, dead skin cells to get to your body it will be exhausted by the time it arrives and won't do the best job, wasted product and wasted effort...
Holland and Barrett offers
Holland and Barrett are doing their buy one, get one half price thing and whilst I don't really take vitamins, I'm loving their flaxseed and pumpkin seed products with Goji berries and sunflower seeds mixed in - there's even one mixed with cocoa for the chocolate lovers. So sprinkle some on your porridge in the morning nand stay full til lunch time - in a healthy way....
NEW VEG
Over the weekend, find a vegetable or fruit that you have NEVER had before - then try to find a Detox recipe for it....variety is the spice of DETOX LIFE!

DAY 17...

Fabulous recipe from Rachel - check out Day 14 notes, 'good luck' and 'keep up the programme' to late starter Wendy and a huge YES to tomatoes to Rachel!

I'm busy packing for a weeks work in California and also putting so much tupperware/klip loc in the case to take snacks in case I can't get to food that is 'legal'....

Looking forward to the Pumpkin Risotto with pecorino tonight, it's really creamy (page 143) and as it's Sunday i'm going full on with the apple wedges, cinamon and honey - think its page 148 - well it is in place of Sunday Roast and we have friends round so I'm trying to make them 'not miss' their usual gourmet meal!

Will keep you posted on Detox Stateside and also airport Detox - which is the bit I'm thinking hard about due to the fact that I do like a large Gin and Tonic before boarding to calm nerves!

I'm in the planning stages of the Detox Yourself programme. I plan to start on 27th Feb, which gives me time to buy the things I need, gets my friends 30th out of the way, and I can really plan my meals, exercise, treatments etc. At the moment my diet is predominantly bread, pasta and potatoes so I'm going to be in for a shock. I was wondering if couscous was allowed on the programme as I didn't see it mentioned on any of the food lists, or banned lists. Would appreciate your comments. Thank you, Lauren x
