I have just had an e mail from Jemma and she asks about the costs of my products if I 'Go Organic'
I am trying every which way to keep the prices the same - almost impossible, especially where the 'big' oils are concerned Rose Otto, Sandalwood etc. The reason I have decided to work with my new supplier is that she is very 'close' to her source of oils and even grows some of the plants herself.
This means there are very few 'layers' in her cost structure so that helps a huge deal. My aim is to stay the same, as the VAT hike in January will be enough to put prices up - let alone having all printed material re done to show new prices etc!
The other consideration is 'big companies' that believe 'they are worth it' deciding to go Organic and buying up all the stocks so it's going to make it harder for us smaller businesses....
