NEW VEG
Over the weekend, find a vegetable or fruit that you have NEVER had before - then try to find a Detox recipe for it....variety is the spice of DETOX LIFE!
Spinach, Cinnamon and Cloves
Wendy from the USA has asked about Spinach, Cinamon and Cloves, it's a big YES to all these - nutmeg too, in fact all spices and herbs. It is really easy to think that 'detoxing' has no flavour but I find the richness of flavour is what always amazes me when you 'go healthy'
DETOX in readiness for DETOX...
Make sure that your cupboards and fridge are free from Non Detox goods, chuck out the mince pies, tuck into the leftover chocs and box up the caffeine. Once you start your programme, it's best not to have anything in temptations way.....
Weathers changing...
I really hope not, but it looks like the weather is changing, so make sure you don't stop with all the moisture of the Summer months, central heating and covering our bodies up to keep warm are two reasons why our skin starts to look very dull and lacklustre. Simply swap the aftersun for a gorgeous body and face oil combination to prolong the tan and keep the body beautiful in time for Autumn festivities!
After Sun....
We take huge care of our skin on holiday, pre sun, during sun and after sun. But then once we get back home we drop back to normal levels of body care. Why not keep the moisture rates up just as high throughout the summer months? how about using a gorgeous body oil that glides on and absorbs easily, keeping your skin glowing until the very last shades of tan - real or false - have finally faded..
Summer is on its way!
Hydration is the buzzword this month, getting into practice for those warm, dehydrating months....the sun, the alcohol, the lazy days and balmy nights - we wish! Eat fresh and healthy, water filled foods; salads, fruits and vegetables and then drink little and often, water, fresh juice, herbal tea - aim for a litre a day as the norm. Make sure your skincare accommodates the warmer climate too, do a mask once in a while or go to bed with extra oils applied so they can seep deep into your skin overnight and you can awake refreshed and revived and looking beautiful!
Beach Babe or Poolside Perfection
It's time to start prepping our skin for 'the big reveal' Dry skin brush every day before showering and then apply oodles of Body Bath Oil - choose from DETOX, BALANCE, PEACE or REVIVE for gorgeously smooth skin every time......

I have booked my session with Kate to make sure I am feeling totally confident and looking my absolute best for meeting with approx 40 Dragons! Kate's work will not only give me a huge boost but also show me loads of new ways to wear what I already own or how to make it totally different with just one accessory or one 'investment' piece.....will keep you posted.....
Cleanser as a Treatment
Don't forget, you can apply a small amount of your BALANCE Nourishing Cleanser for 10 or 15 minutes as a deep treat/cleanse. Try it and see the difference in your skin....
Jane's Routine
Check out 'Jane's Routine' on the products page and bag yourself a bargain of a skincare regime....
Out of hibernation..
Exfoliate and Treat. Remove the tired layers of 2009 and buff up the new skin of 2010. It's definately there, it just needs the big reveal. Treat yourself to a lovely, thorough exfoliation and then apply a masque or mud and leave to soak and absorb - do both face and body. Time to step into the sunshine, freshly washed and scrubbed!
SPRING CLEAN
Its Easter just around the corner, can you believe it, I'm barely over Christmas. Still, fabulous warm spring days to look forward too and a lifting of the winter gloom....which all means body parts on show. Invest in a good cleanser to get your skin spring radiant, a body oil or cream to start the arms off and maybe dig out the gym membership to get those muscles toned and honed and ready for the big reveal!
Mothers Day
They say that you need to keep a close eye on your mum to see your 'future skin', so why not treat her to some amazing Intense Oil from the PURE Range, and keep her looking young - so you will too!
It's not 30 days, it's 4 lots of 7!..plus a bit..
If 30 days feels too long, then make it simple, make it 4 lots of short '7 day programmes', reaching a milestone with each week and rewarding yourself with a treatment, body massage or facial to mark your 'cleanse'.....bite size pieces will speed the time away to the 'new you'.
It's not a diet....
Detoxing is not dieting, diets don't work. Detox is about looking at what you eat, taking it back to basics and then building up a new 'food and health lifestyle' that suits your needs, your pocket and your schedule..
Reduce your intake.
Before the 17th, reduce the amount of tea and coffee you have by half, do it slowly, reduce by one or two cups a day if you mainline the stuff or simply go down to one cup a day of each before the big cut off date...it makes the break much easier and prevents headaches in the first week of your Detox.
Preparation Tip 1
Experiment with herbal teas. Throughout your January Detox, you will be putting tea and coffee to one side. Now is the time to find out which herbal tea suits you best, try Fennel, Nettle or any pre blended DETOX tea. Better to have something to look forward to drinking rather than discovering on day one of your Detox that there isn't anything that you like..
Prune or Grape?
Alcohol dries the skin faster than you can say Gin Sling...so make sure you moisturise from the inside as well as the out. Drink plenty of herbal and fruit teas, put the caffeine aside for the festive season and try to smooth out those wrinkles and bags by hydrating as well as celebrating..
Hangover Detox
Tis the season to be merry, but not too merry, if you understand me, make sure you drink at least a glass of water each hour before you head out on the town. Then make even more sure that everytime you have an alcoholic drink, have a water chaser...have a fab time without the dreadful day after!
Firm Foundations Part 2
For more info, advice and tips on how to dress to perfection for the party season, feel fab and lose inches in minutes, visit www.kateparkerstyle.com (Kate's the origin of my 'sheepdog bra' tip)
Firm Foundations
John Lewis, Spanx, your local lingerie boutique, Next or M&S, everyone's doing it and no one should be without them...foundation garments, hide a multitude of sins and reveal your fabulous figure (with just a hint of help) try before you buy, to make sure you can get in and out of them - I speak from experience!
Luscious Lashes
Go for the full on look and book in for a full set of lovely lashes for the party season or visit Boots and decide which one of the Girls Aloud styles suit you best - remember to try before the big night out, applying for the first time whilst the cab is waiting is not advisable!
Skin Brushing
Your essential kit for glowing party skin should include a good quality skin brush, once a day keeps the dry skin away - try my Brush Bag in the DETOX section....dont forget elbows and knees..
